Phil Bordwell

Owner & Operator

Phil Bordwell has spent his entire career in the garage door industry. After more than 20 years on the manufacturer side of the business with Amarr — one of the leading garage door manufacturers in North America — Phil decided it was time to put that expertise to work for homeowners directly. In 2020 he founded Northway Garage Doors, bringing two decades of industry knowledge to every installation and repair he touches.

Originally from the Southern Tier of New York, Phil has called Malta home for over 20 years. Northway Garage Doors isn’t a franchise, a call center, or a national chain with a local phone number. It’s a one-man operation run by someone who lives in this community, knows these roads, and takes personal pride in every job.

Miles

Miles is a two-year-old rescue from Lucky Puppy Rescue in Argyle, NY — and the most enthusiastic member of the Northway Garage Doors team. His hobbies include sticking his head out the truck window, conducting squirrel surveillance, and accepting belly rubs from anyone willing to provide them. On shorter service calls and estimates, Miles rides along with Phil as unofficial co-pilot and customer relations specialist. He takes his responsibilities very seriously, as long as there are no squirrels involved.
